Tipton Lakes Animal Ordinance

At the October Columbus City Council meeting, the council passed an amendment to the city’s animal ordinance that will allow residents to have up to four chickens within the city limits. Tipton Lakes has specific rules with regard to animals, therefore this amendment does not apply to our community.

The Association’s current rules and regulations do not allow farm animals, livestock or poultry of any kind to be raised, bred or kept on any lot or in the common areas. Customary household pets such as dogs and cats may be kept as long as they are not kept or bred for any commercial purposes and do not create a nuisance.

Please remember to clean up after your pets when exercising them and try to keep excessive barking to a minimum. Pet waste stations are located along the walking paths throughout the community. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
