Until further notice please keep your pets from swimming in the lake or drinking the water. It was reported on October 21 by Aquatic Control that sometime between Saturday and Sunday morning a rather significant cyanobacteria bloom appeared in the West Canal. They have recommended that people not allow their pets to drink or swim in the lakes until the bloom is gone. Hopefully, the storms and rain expected over the next few days will knock the bloom off the surface.
We have tested the lakes and will have results today, October 22. Once we have identified that the lakes are clear we will send out a follow up email.
